Privacy policy.
Last updated: October 27, 2026. Privacy is a central design decision in Warke Fingerprint.
1. File processing
SHA-256 calculations happen entirely inside your browser. Selected files are read locally and are not uploaded to our servers. No contents of selected files are collected or retained by the application.
2. Using the tool without an account
You can create and compare SHA-256 fingerprints without registering. The tool does not transmit generated fingerprints to the server unless you explicitly save a fingerprint to your account.
3. Accounts and saved records
If you register, we store your name, email address, securely hashed password, verification information and account status. If you choose to save a fingerprint, we store the SHA-256 value, reported filename, file size, your optional label, and timestamps. These metadata items could reveal information about your files and are accessible to authorized platform administrators.
4. Essential technical information
Our server processes normal HTTP requests and may maintain operational and security logs containing connection information such as IP address, request URLs, browser user agent and timestamps, subject to hosting configuration. Essential session cookies support authentication and CSRF protection. We do not embed third-party analytics or advertising trackers in this application.
5. Password recovery and emails
We use your email to provide verification and account recovery. Email delivery may involve the SMTP provider configured by the operator. Your password is stored as a one-way password hash, never as plaintext.
6. Retention and deletion
You may delete individual saved fingerprints or your non-administrator account. Account deletion removes saved records; routine server backups and legally required records may persist for a limited period under the operator's retention practices.
7. Security
We use access controls, HTTPS deployment guidance, CSRF defenses and rate limits, but no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security. Do not use a saved hash as proof of authorship.
8. Contact
For data requests or privacy questions, contact Warke Technologies through its official company contact channels.
